COMMISSIONS

RATES AND QUOTES

Since no two pieces of art are the same, Commission Prices must be determined on a case by case basis. However, as a general rule, and to make it easier for the hamster in my head to stay on his wheel, I usually try to keep to the following guidelines:

Commissions may be done in one of three media. Pencil (p), Ink (i), and Color (c).

Baseline cost for a single figure 8.5" x 11" commission, is $15(p), $25 (i), $50(c). Larger pieces require contracting with a print shop, and thus, an increase in price to $30(p), $50(i), $100(c).

Each additional figure adds a cost of $10(p), $20(i), $30(c). Likewise, backgrounds add to the complexity of a piece and carry a charge of anywhere from $10 to the respective Baseline Cost.

All commissions, unless otherwise stated, are created digitally. For an additional 25%, pencil and ink works can be done using traditional media and you will recieve the original work. Color work is always done digitally. No Exceptions.

A hard copy of your commission will be mailed to you regardless of the level finish or the method of creation.

If your commission involves a figure with an established appearance, Reference material is generally helpful. If I don't know what something looks like, I'll make it up.

There are three points in the commission process in which you can request alterations (extreme alterations may result in an additional fee). You can request alterations BEFORE work on the commission begins. Furthermore, screen resolution .jpgs of the rough pencils and final colors will be emailed to you for review before the next step is begun, so if you have alterations you want, that's when to ask.

Finally, I reserve the right, to apply the "Oh My God, You Want What?" Special, to any request which I feel would require an extraordinarily large amount of time, effort, or frustration. This adjusts the Base Cost of any piece to $100, regardless of guideline cost, and is basically a way for me to cover my ass. This will be applied BEFORE work begins, so you will always know it's there.

If you would like to request a commission quote, fill out the form to the right and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. There is no obligation in asking for a price.
